Oatfield MX OTHG 38+ Novice Moto 1 2-13-2022

My second race on the the KTM 350, pulled out a 3rd in this first moto. Went 3-3 for 3rd overall against 13 peeps. Missed my little homie Nano out there with us this weekend but I’m sure he’ll be back out soon. Starting to figure out the starts on this bike and getting suspension dialed. Cased the double after turn 3 almost every time but I was one of the only guys doing it first moto and even casing it saved me a ton of time. I was able to take the hit with the big boy springs and McRae Suspension setup. Nice thing about OTHG is we know the guys we are on the track with and we’re out there to have fun, not kill each other. Right at the 11:54 mark I could barely hang on and faded outside into Peter L. 910B, couldn’t help but say sorry into the GoPro. Lol. In the end he came around and in was all good. Special thanks to Rob Simpson for coaching me up with some tips after moto 1 that helped to make moto 2 that much easier. Also Cloyse Holland with the pep talk at the line is what kept me in the mix on the start. Congratulations to Steve H. #337s who came out like a rocket in this moto and was absolutely gone after about a lap or two. Pat 807s came by eventually as I was fading but bottom line is he just has more in the tank right now. We’ll be battling once my cardio is back up there. Ronnie King was movin and had me looking back both motos. Congrats Ronnie on the 4th and the last trophy spot.
