Haley Dinkel, Agricultural Engineer, NRCS talks with Adelaide Mathison, Public Affairs Specialist, NRCS about what it's like to work as a young engineer for the NRCS in Minnesota. Haley discusses the education requirements, extensive on-the-job-training, and mentorships that she has experienced during her first three years working for the NRCS. Haley shows how she took the lead in designing and constructing a large waterway and dam structure in SE Minnesota near where she grow up. She talks about the challenges of the project and how grateful she is to be able to use her skills and talents in a very constructive and beneficial way, to improve water quality and conserve our natural resources in Minnesota.
