Are you in this walk with God for His “hand”, or to be a fragrant offering? It’s a question the Lord has really been pressing on my heart to speak on. Sometimes we come to God because of what He can “do”for us… His provision, His protection, His blessings, His open doors. And while God absolutely cares about our needs and invites us to bring them to Him, our relationship with Him was never meant to stop at receiving from His hand. The deeper call is surrender and obedience for our highest wellbeing. In Scripture we’re reminded that our lives are meant to be a living sacrifice—set apart, holy, pleasing to God. Not just seeking what we can gain, but asking:“Lord, how can my life bring You glory?” A fragrant offering is a life that says: • When it’s uncomfortable, I’ll obey. • Even if it costs something, I’ll trust You. • When no one sees, I’ll stay faithful. It’s choosing intimacy with God over convenience. It’s choosing transformation over temporary blessings. It’s choosing His presence over His presents. Because the truth is—when you truly fall in love with God, you stop chasing His hand and start desiring His heart. You stop measuring your faith by what you receive and start measuring it by how surrendered you are. So today I’m asking myself the same question I’m asking you: Am I here just for what God can give me… or am I willing to let my life become a fragrant offering back to Him?** Let this be the posture of our hearts: “Lord, my life is Yours. Use me. Shape me. Purify me. Let everything I do bring a pleasing aroma to You.”
