A time-lapse showing a light dusting of snow in Kintore, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on the evening of November 17th, 2024, afew days after the full moon. The snow blows in, and within a few minutes the skies clear and the waning gibbous Beaver Moon becomes visible. 📍 Kintore is a town and former royal burgh in Aberdeenshire, north east Scotland. It is situated on the banks of the River Don. Nearby are the remains of Hallforest Castle, former stronghold of the Earls of Kintore. 🌙 November's full moon is called the Beaver Moon. The term has origins from a variety of traditions and folklore in Native American and European culture. One explanation – November is when beavers prepare for the winter by fortifying dams and stocking their food supply.
