Prepare yourselves, for we have some beauty to behold this morning! Fog, frost, rivers, trees, hills and mountains, all a part of the nature's paintbrush. And what can top that all off best, a steamy hot cup of coffee or coco. The higher the elevation we encounter, the better bet we will see those snow caps! Our journey begins along a frost cover roadside on beautiful I-90. Though our destination is clear; we will see some very captivating things amongst this near 500-mile trail. We are experiencing some of the best mountain passes compliments of Starlink! (At Saltese, MT we rolled over 309,000 miles in the Blue Comet.) Our roadway will wine around the lower western portion of Montana, until we reach the Idaho pan handle! Beautiful town of Couer d’Alene, Idaho, this will lead us to the mid-portion of the state of Washington and the Spokane Valley. Spokane is best known for Father's Day and is nicknamed the "Lilac City". It was proposed back in 1909 to become a day to honor one's own fathers all around this country, and we have honored dads ever since on the third Sunday of June! Spokane is home to Fairchild Air Force Base. Steve pointed out a small low flying craft around Ritzville; we assume to be crop dusting. Washington grows crops like garlic, onions, and kale. Kale and Spinach tend to thrive in the frosty months. Right before we cross the Colombia river, we will arrive at George, Washington. Yep, you guessed right! This town of 809 people pay tribute to the father of our country listed as a "humorous homage"! Vantage "Medal of Honor" bridge before Ellensburg, which is featured on several merch items at BigRigTravel.com. Ellensburg is a fine place to stay if you want to catch a number of snow cap mountains, Rainier, Adams and possibly Mt. St. Helen.
