Shooting my 연무궁 YMG Yeon Mu Gung 106#@32" KTB Korean bow after a break for a few weeks. I recorded this on 2 March 2025. I had been ill with a cold for a couple of weeks and not up to full fitness. I was also eager to shoot the YMG again. This proved to be a mistake. I had shot the YMG in my regular field archery course round that morning and it shot quite well. I really enjoyed it. However I then pushed myself when I was tired. I recorded a couple of videos and finished the day with a final round of shooting, as seen on this video. I learnt a lesson about not shooting when tired. I started to feel some pain on my draw shoulder. an impingement/ bicep tendonitis. I ignored it and continued to shoot. I should have stopped. Also, I have been doing a high shoulder draw, emulating many KTA archers and pushing my shoulder forward. Two things that create impingement. I have to be more careful with the weight of the YMG. I have not had any issues with any other bow so far. So for the next few weeks, I will change my draw technique to keep my shoulders level and at no less than 90 degrees. I will shoot lower Poundage bows for a few weeks, before going back on to the 78# CJG and do a few weeks with that. Hoping to get back on the YMG for end of April / early May if no more shoulder pain.
