Check out the Ororo website for more heated apparel options! https://uk.ororo.com This week on our Irish homestead, we began one of the most important stages of our 200 year old Irish stone cottage renovation — raking out the old mortar from the walls so they can finally be properly repointed. As we worked our way around the derelict Irish cottage, removing decades of crumbling mortar and debris, the true condition of the stone walls began to reveal itself. Leaning walls, failed lintels, cracks, gaps and old repairs started to appear — reminders of the long history this abandoned cottage in rural Ireland has lived through. It’s not always easy to see the problems laid bare, but understanding the structure is a crucial step in restoring this historic Irish stone cottage and continuing our homestead rebuild in rural Ireland. For the first time since we bought the property, we can truly see what we’re working with — and what it will take to save this place. Step by step, this Irish cottage restoration and off-grid homestead journey continues as we bring this old building back to life. 💬 Let us know in the comments what you think of our walls - and their problems! 👍 If you enjoy following our Irish cottage renovation and smallholding journey, make sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell so you don’t miss future updates. 🌿 Ways to support us: Patreon: https://patreon.com/BuildingtheNestIr...
