SWFEC official statement:" F23 has not been in camera view since 8:12AM, on Friday, 2/27/2026. She and M15 were flying East. We know many of you are watching closely and care deeply about her. At this time, there is no confirmed sighting of F23 in the area. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates if and when we have verified information. We have alerted FWC and CROW, our local wildlife Rehabilitation Center. If you see an injured or dead bald eagle in your area, please contact one of these services for immediate assistance. In the meantime M15 is taking great care of their offspring E26. He is providing food and protection. Please give M15 space to deal with what he needs to do at this time." The video opens with M15 arrives to the Front Drive Snag early in the morning and perches - waiting for F23 to join him. E26 branches easily to the veranda now and was enjoying the morning from this new hangout spot. E26 can see M15 on the FDS and was watching. M15 will fly off and return with some RK pelt and feed it to E26. Then M15 went to the outer branch and perched and waited for F23 once more. E26 went back to the veranda - both seen well from the pond cam. M15 flies off east but returns right away to the upper branches and is vocal. M15 will deliver a big fish and E26 pounces and claims it. M15 will unzip the fish and begin a long 36 minute feeding! M15 is one of the most amazing male eagles I have had the opportunity to watch. M15 is more than capable of taking care of E26 alone if F23 does not return. He raised E21 & E22 from just over a month old alone when Harriet disappeared. He had to feed them, protect them from intruders, protect the food he brought from being stolen by the intruders and guard his nest and territory while brooding them. It was a very tall order and M15 rose to the occasion to see both his and Harriet's eaglets fledge. M15 is now doing the same for E26 - he delivered three food items today - the RK pelt, the whole fish and a partial fish. M15 also stayed in the nest tree most of the day as well. While M15 was on the U branch this afternoon, it reminded me so much of the time he perched there waiting and calling out for Harriet to return. The U branch was M15 & Harriet's perching spot together. To see M15 spending so much time there today with F23 missing, my heart was hurting for him since it appears he does not know where F23 is. He waits and hopes to see her again just like we are. We all love F23 & are concerned with her sudden disappearance & hope for her return. Thank you for watching! Elfruler does a section on " EAGLET DAILY PHOTOS AND MILESTONES" for each week of development.
