Genre: Art Rock, Progressive Rock, Progressive Pop ** It's really easy to hear the bass, although there are a couple spots where I can't tell if I'm imagining a light pluck or not. The bass basically follows the kick drum, but it sounds like not every hit of the kick is plucked on the bass. I've tried listening through a few different speakers and headphones and can't tell. I went to the live videos, but there aren't many of the song. The ones that are there are mostly David Gilmour on his own, and none of them really show the bassist because it's focused on Gilmour and/or Roger Waters if it's Pink Floyd. So, if you think/feel like the note should or shouldn't be there, then play it or don't. On the Delicate Sound of Thunder recording, it sounds like the bassist plays the kick drum note almost every time, but the rhythm overall is noticeably different than the track, though the feel is the same. I'm using my ears and my best guess with the tab and the resources I could find.    • Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd - Delicate S...   0:47, see the bassist pluck and by the 2nd fret 3:30 slides up to the 5 for "there is no" (the 2nd Chorus) (shows finger style)    • Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (Recorded at...   1:22 Shows Roger Waters on Bass 2:24, 2:32 at 2nd fret in solo 2:45 slides to 7th fret after solo for "okay" 2:53 see more of the verse (finger style) 4:53 you can see positioning in the 2nd solo (with a pick) 6:17 as well I'm going to use finger style for the whole song since Roger waters uses it and I can't tell for which parts he switches styles. The other bassist also used finger style and I think it sounds better than pick for the whole song. Thanks for watching!
