Really hard. When you’ve spent years getting that regular deposit in your bank account, it’s been easy to fall into the trap of thinking I need to buy new stuff all the time because you always have that backstop two weeks (or less) away. Not just the flashy new gadgets, but even upgrading things that work just fine. Or solving imagined problems.
