Treasure Adventure Game's opening sequence has a bunch of random lightning flashes which can trigger photosensitive seizures in people with epilepsy or similar conditions. This version should be safe to watch for those people, and I'm including a corresponding save file which can be inserted into the game to begin playing from where the video ends. Download the save file here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-nCi5Q_Wb... Find your game folder, wherever you installed the game (if it's on Steam on Windows, it's probably Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TreasureAdventureGame), go into tag_files\save_data, and put the file in there next to temp.txt. Download Treasure Adventure Game (Windows only) for free on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/863940/... Or use one of the older downloads: https://www.gog.com/en/game/treasure_adven... https://www.fileplanet.com/archive/p-45349... (The builds are identical to the Steam one afaik.) This video came about because I have a friend who happens to be epileptic, and I really wanted him to play the game, but we realized quickly that the lightning in the beginning wasn't safe for him to watch. He also couldn't just tab out or look away, since you need to advance dialogue and control your character during the sequence, and I didn't want him to miss the dialogue anyway. The only two things I could do about this were a) send him a save file to skip the sequence, b) mod the game, or c) create an edited video version with the lightning flashes removed. This isn't optimal since you miss the experience of interacting with it, you have no control over the dialogue advance speed, and there's no perfect way to keep the animations flowing smoothly. But it's a lot better than not seeing any of it, and I decided I'd rather do this than learn to mod Clickteam Fusion EXE files. So I screen-recorded this ten-minute clip, using Xbox Game Bar (OBS caused intolerable lag) and my Steam copy of the game. I let the dialogue scroll at its default speed (except for once when I accidentally made it all appear at once) and made sure to interact with everything I could during the sequence. Then I imported it into Shotcut and went to work removing the solid white frames and replacing them with copies of previous frames (effectively manual interpolation). All told, I removed about 165 flashes from the video, and made a few extra edits, mostly to add fades where the game had none, and a smooth beginning and ending to the video. I spent a couple evenings on the project, and I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. I hope it helps people safely experience this great game. Treasure Adventure Game was made by Stephen Orlando and the music is by Robert Ellis. I don't own any rights to it, I didn't ask permission to post this video, and if either of them asks me to take it down, then I will promptly do so. (Since it's free to download, though, I'm not robbing anyone of profits by distributing paid content, and I think this qualifies as fair use anyway.) I will certainly never seek to make any profit from the video, and if any profit comes my way from it, I'll try to find a way to send it to Robit Games.
