Coming from four generations of professional music makers, with a Russian maestro for a father and five musical siblings around him at home; Vladimir is steeped in the classical tradition. Vladimir arrived in Ireland in 2004 part of the Eastern European diaspora welcomed at the height of the Celtic Tiger years. Originally only planning to stay in Ireland for a few months; he soon found work and money hard to come by. Having little English, he quickly decided to let his music do the talking and started busking on Grafton Street. Getting a taste for live performance, he formed the Slovak Festival Quartet in 2006 with some friends. With a burgeoning reputation, Vladimir played some of Ireland's most prestigous venues; including The Mansion House, The Gaeity Theatre, Marlay Park, Cork Opera House, Limerick UCH and, at the behest of President McAleese; to an audience in Aras an Uachtarain. He headlined his own sold out concert at the National Concert Hall in March 2010. He has appeared on the Late Late Show, Nationwide (RTE1) and has been a guest on Ian Dempsey (Today FM), John Murray and Pat Kenny (RTE Radio 1).
