We visited Lucerne, Switzerland 🇨🇭 in the middle of winter… and decided to sleep in a rooftop tent at -4°C. Yes. In freezing temperatures. On top of a car. 🥶❄️ This winter camping adventure quickly turned into a survival challenge. With Abby by my side, we tried to stay warm through one of the coldest nights of our Switzerland road trip. Breath turning into smoke, frozen hands, icy wind hitting the tent — this was not cozy camping… this was extreme winter rooftop tent camping in Switzerland. Before the freezing night began, we explored the magical old town of Lucerne. Snow-covered streets, wooden bridges, lake views, and fairytale buildings made it feel unreal. Winter in Switzerland just hits different. Of course, no trip to Switzerland is complete without real Swiss chocolate 🍫 — so we went chocolate shopping, explored local stores, and soaked in the cozy winter vibes before heading back to our rooftop tent in the snow.
