This video is of the Merry Maidens stone circle, near Lamorna, Cornwall, UK. Just like Boscawen-Un stone circle, this also has a legend of people dancing on the Sabbath, all of which were turned to stone. The two flute players were turned to stone on the way back. Their standing stone stands about 500 yards away and are the biggest Menhirs (or Standing stones) in Cornwall. These stone are called The Pipers. The flutes they were playing were not the metal flute as we know it today (invented in London in the Victorian era by using an ancient design) but possibly just some wood with some holes cut in it. About 200 yards away from the Merry Maidens is Gûn Rith but, apart from being in a ley line with the Merry Maidnes, this stone has no connection as far as I am aware with the stone circle. There are ley lines going to and from every stone in the circle all through the circle. The Magnetic field in the circle is slightly odd and compasses put in the circle slightly point the wrong way but there is nothing major. This is one of the most well photographed and visited stone circles in Britain because of it's location (next to a road popular with tourists) and because of how nice and complete the stone circle is.
