In today's episode, I cover the first 20 hours breaking in the new Twin 60 Suzuki engines. I've been off of the water for the last couple months, and hopping on board friends' boats in the meantime. Now that F/V SMALL KINE II is up and running again, we're ready for an action packed year and many more exciting fishing trips to come. I also cover the installation of a SE Sport 300 Hydrofoil on my engine, and do a brief walkthrough of my DIY live bait well. Why new engines? - My last two engines were great, but unfortunately ran into some issues that left us stranded on our last trip in October. We were lucky to have been towed, and came home safely! New four stroke engines offer greater fuel efficiency, better reliability, and value to any boat. I intend to keep this boat as my forever boat, so I decided to make the investment sooner rather than trying to continue fixing older engines. The number one priority for any fishing trip is to come home safely, and you can't put a price tag on that!
