The Civic Coalition for Palestinian Rights in Jerusalem & Adalah - The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel present: BRIEFING | Israel's East Jerusalem City Center Master Plan Friday, 19 February 2021 This Israeli development plan targets one of the most important and sensitive parts of East Jerusalem: the area bordered by the Old City’s Damascus Gate, Sultan Suleiman Street from the south, Wadi Al-Joz from the east, and Sheik Jarrah from the north. It will negatively impact all aspects of the daily lives of Palestinian residents, including housing and construction, economy, educational, and cultural services, and it will significantly contribute to the forcible transfer of the Palestinian population from the area – in clear violation of international law. Adalah and the Civic Coalition will submit an objection to the Jerusalem District Planning Committee in March 2021 on behalf of hundreds of Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem.
