Building a Custom Saxophone Case

I bought a C melody saxophone, but it came in a tenor sax case that was way too big for the horn. So I decided to make my own case. Here's how. Box dimensions: 28 x 12 x 7 (I probably could have gotten by with 6") Materials: top and bottom: 1/4" plywood (this might seem thin, but it's a pretty typical thickness for guitar and sax cases). Sides: 1 x 7 pine (actually 3/4" thick). The long sides are 28" (same length as the top and bottom plywood) and the short sides are 10 1/2" Sides of accessory box: same wood as the sides, but only 4" wide. I'm not sure about the exact length--I just cut it based on my drawing on the plywood. Screws: 3/4" drywall screws. I used longer ones for the accessory box (maybe 1 1/2") Hinges, latches, handle, corner braces--use which ever ones you want. Rounded corner braces work better than pointy ones. Big, secure latches are a good idea. I used these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2NMHH9C?... Upholstery: I used velour upholstery fabric, but you could use any kind of fabric probably. A polar fleece blanket might work well, or some corduroy. Upholstery glue: Gorilla spray adhesive. Available at home stores and hardware stores.
