We are thrilled to be back with Boom Operator Ken Strain to do a deep dive into three fascinating scenes from his 30+ years on set. We cover specific scenes from 'House M.D' focusing on the challenges of booming long 'Walk & Talk' sequences. Especially those where you are given an on camera role..! We also discuss how he boomed the complex courtroom sequences when working on 'Trial of The Chicago 7' and the intimacy of booming hugely dynamic moments on feature film 'Woman in The Window.' Ken also talks about Radio Mic Placements for Hugh Laurie on 'House' & how he was able to help get a clean, crisp dialog by pushing the mic to the very edge of the stickie. He & Simon from URSA also discuss various microphones choices, which environments suits which mic best and many other on set stories. Big Thanks to Ken for being so generous and sharing so much, do let us know what you think in the comments!
