Well, let’s talk about it. In the B vitamin family there are eight members. Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12 I’m surprised that so few people know that supplementing with a good vitamin b complex actually can be really helpful for reducing anxiety levels. Vitamin B12, for example, is very important for the regulation of stress and anxiety responses because it is highly involved in the function of the central nervous system. Vitamin B12 along with vitamin B9 is one of the major players for (maintaining the health and correct functioning of the nerve cells.). Vitamin B12 is also a key player in neurotransmitter signaling and if we have low levels of vitamin B12 our thinking processes and cognitive functions can not work as well as they should. This will often result in depression, anxiety or stress. And speaking of low levels...some experts estimate that over 30% of people in the United States are deficient in this vitamin. Vitamin B For Anxiety | Using a Vitamin B Complex to Help With Anxiety Then we have vitamin B9 which has a key role in the production of serotonin in our brains. Serotonin is what we call a neurotransmitter and having healthy levels of serotonin makes us feel relaxed, safe, satisfied AND it even makes us have higher self esteem.... ...kind of funny how a chemical in the brain can give us better self esteem but that’s just the way it works...we humans are pretty funny creatures.
