In two weeks, this office will see a change in leadership as District Attorney Matt Weintraub moves on the bench as a Bucks County Common Pleas Judge, and Jennifer M. Shorn takes over as the Bucks County District Attorney. Weintraub selected Schorn earlier this year to replace him, a move he said leaves the office and the county in great hands. One of our most talented and dedicated attorneys, Schorn has faithfully dedicated her service to our mission for more than two decades. Schorn joined the office in 1999 after graduating from Widener University School of Law. She served in the dual role of Chief of Trials and Chief of the Grand Jury Division before she was appointed in 2021 as the First Assistant District Attorney. During her career as a prosecutor, Schorn has been instrumental in helping bring justice in multiple cold case homicides and has prosecuted numerous high-profile homicides cases and sexual offenders responsible for victimizing children throughout Bucks County. In this first of a two-part interview, get to know more about your new District Attorney Jennifer Schorn from what inspired her to become a prosecutor to some of the most memorable cases she’s worked on.
