This film was a candidate for the "1st SSCT Wide Short Film Festival" and won 3rd Placer as Best Film, Best Trailer, Outstanding Original Short Film Script, and nominated for Best Lead Actress, Best Poster, and Best Director. The film is intended for spreading awareness about teenage problems and consequences such as acquiring HIV, teenage pregnancy, depression, and bullying. Storyline (Summary): The story begins on the life of Jake (Chim Jeffrey Diaz), who is the son of Jacky, his mother (Sherolle Jane Nalam) and Emman, his father (Resty Morales). Jake was living his entire life together with an HIV, which he acquires from birth. As soon as he has this condition, many people around him, including his classmates and some bullies, made his life more miserable. Way back on the time when his mother Jacky met Emman (his parents), Jacky got pregnant accidentally and mostly unprepared for their first son, caused by their genuine love for each other. However, Emman, on the past years, committed many vices such as having different sex partners and girls, drinking alcohol, etc., and eventually acquired the disease. Jacky didn’t notice that after what happened to them by Emman, she also acquired the HIV. Through medical check-ups results and consultations, Jacky becomes teary-eyed and becomes depressed, knowing that she acquired such incurable condition. The years have gone past, and Emman died from the disease. Jacky gave birth to their son, Jake, through the help of her mother (Lucy Baguinaon) and her father (John Arvin Escote). Her parents at first didn’t accept her condition, but later on supported her. Jake, on the other hand, was loved and supported by her mother Jacky and his friend (April Galocgoc), who explained the misconceptions of acquiring HIV. Unfortunately, for Jake, he didn’t go as well as he becomes unconscious and hospitalized. I would like to thank the whole crew of BSCE 1A Productions including our beloved director, Chim Jeffrey Diaz, and to us for being eager to finish this film. I owe you a lot, guys. Love y'all! Thanks for Watching! #SolidBSCE #SpreadAwareness #EndStigma #Loud&Proud
