I would like to thank everyone who has supported Nitro Jump so far. The comments are very flattering, thank you all so much! In this video, I demonstrate how you can apply a hocketing technique to a chord progression, to quickly come up with a foundation idea to work from for a more melodic complextro track! The aim for this series is to inspire people to make their own music and empower you to create cool stuff in your own music productions. I found it quite challenging to come up with a song under the spotlight, being more used to working in silence on my own, however I have enjoyed the process and learned a lot. This idea is the result of almost 7 hours of recording, and the editing was strenuous, having to edit this stuff down to about 50 minutes! Any support for this work is greatly appreciated (please subscribe and like for more content hehe) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 - INTRO 1:30 - Chord Progression 2:45 - Instrument Rack Technique 6:17 - Hocketting Technique 8:20 - Phaser Lead Layer 9:20 - Saw Buzzy Bass 10:05 - Halftime Section Sound Design 11:15 - Bass Sound Design 14:35 - Ear Candy Stuff 15:47 - Yoi Sound Design 18:06 - Trash 2 Basses 19:06 - Downsample Plucky Bass 20:30 - Ana 2 yoi bass preset 22:20 - Vocal Elements 25:18 - PWM Synth Lead (Drop) 28:00 - Arpeggio Sound Design 28:50 - Bass Pluck (Thuddy Boi) 29:20 - Bass Modulated 29:43 - Zomboi Ana 2 Preset 30:32 - Phaser Bass Variation 31:46 - Intro Idea 32:35 - Verse Chords 33:42 - Composing Synth Solo MIDI 38:02 - Riser Sound Design 39:42 - Break and Project Organisation 40:42 - Drum Elements Introduced 41:38 - Atmosphere stuff and Pharlight 43:08 - Recording a Thematic Vocal 45:19 - Snares for Build 46:19 - B Drop Bass Adjustments 48:14 - More Buildup Snares 48:42 - Classic Whoop Sound 49:11 - Halftime Section Drums 49:55 - Arcade Melodic Element 51:36 - Trap Hats + Rides 52:18 - Echo + OTT Outro Tail 52:44 - Cute Operator Dreamy Synth 53:53 - Finished work and Final Result 56:33 - OUTRO
