In this two minute introduction to Kefalonia, we visit some of the most popular locations on the island, starting with the village of Fiscardo, located in the north and onto the picturesque village of Assos. Karavomilos is home to one of the island most popular attractions, the Lake Melissani, only recently discovered when the roof of the cave its located in collapsed. Neighbouring Agia Efemia is one of Kefalonia’s quieter villages featuring a present harbour front (and small beach) in contrast to the port of Sami, one of the filming location for ‘Captain Corellis Mandolin’ and the very interesting Drogorati Caves. Finally, we visit the nearby beach of Anti Samos before travelling south to the fishing village of Katelios.
