The Newquay County Championships are one of the longest running events in gig rowing, held in Newquay, Cornwall since the 1970s. Raced on a challenging triangle course, the championships are a true test of skill, strength and seamanship. Traditionally, the event takes place over four days across two weekends, with women’s racing followed by men’s. This year, due to storm conditions, the entire championship was completed across just two days in a single weekend, an unprecedented change. The women's racing took place on Saturday 27th September with Caradon crowned champions. The men's racing was won by Falmouth on Sunday 28th September. Catch up on all the racing action via the Newquay County Championships playlists.
