His combination of scoring ability and lacrosse IQ immediately stood out. Kang can finish in a variety of ways, but his biggest strengths come on step-down opportunities and in-tight finishes. On step-downs, his smooth underhand release keeps goalies guessing—he can bury it low or pull it high at the last second. Around the crease, he shows great poise, moving goalies and hitting open nets with precision. His most impressive play of the day came against Duke's LC, when he sealed off the hot defender, slipped the pick as his man fought through it, and buried a quick-stick finish inside. With his combination of shooting touch, awareness, and polish around the goal, Kang looks like one of the more advanced 2028 finishers from The Preview."
