My name is Katherina and I am documenting my WLS. I will be having Gastric Bypass Roux En Y. My highest weight is 356 on January 2020. Since then I have been attempting to get my health in check to relieve the struggles of diabetes, hypothyroidism, high blood pressure and endometriosis. I am a stroke survivor and want to ensure that I don't have another one. I am the mother of two boys and the the step mother of a wonderful young lady. I have been with my husband for 16 wonderful years. With the love and support of my family and friends, my medical team and with the strength and protection of the All Mighty, I commit myself to beating my food addiction and get rid of my binge habits. In this video I share a quick story about my first experience with Dumping Syndrome. It was definitely NOT what I expected! Dumping syndrome is a condition in which food, especially food high in sugar, moves from your stomach into your small bowel too quickly after you eat. Sometimes called rapid gastric emptying, dumping syndrome most often occurs as a result of surgery on your stomach or esophagus.
