Construction of The Shard Microsoft Paint Drawings Time-lapse (Original)

The Shard is a 305.59 metre tall, 95 storey, mixed-used super-tall skyscraper designed by Renzo Piano and developed by Irvine Sellar. It is currently the tallest building in the UK and the 6th tallest building in Europe. The building replaced the residential high-rise Southwark Towers, which had a height of 100 metres with 26 storeys, was the joint-tallest building ever to be demolished (alongside Drapers Gardens) in the UK at the time. Demolition of Southwark Towers commenced in August 2007 and the construction of The Shard started on the 16th of March 2009. At the time the building was going up I was following the project day by day and created an illustration each day visible progress had been made. All 680 illustrations were created on Microsoft Paint 2003. I made an earlier (more diagrammatical) version before I decided to redraw each frame for the final version to be more like how the building actually appears (link is below).
