Sulindac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It decreases inflammation, pain and fever, through inhibition of cyclooxygenase activity and prostaglandin synthesis. It is available as 100 mg, 150 mg, and 200 mg tablets. Sulindac is used in the treatment of acute and chronic rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gouty arthritis, acute painful shoulder, tendonitis, and bursitis. The usual dose of Sulindac for Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Ankylosing Spondylitis for adults is 150 mg twice a day. And for Acute Painful Shoulder, and Acute Gouty Arthritis, the usual dose for adults is 200 mg twice a day, for 7 to 14 days. And the maximum dose is 400 mg per day.
