A set of jigs from my end of semester performance for the MA Irish Traditional Music Performance at the Irish World Academy, University of Limerick. Thank you to Vincent Fogarty for the great accompaniment on bouzouki 🙏🎶💚 Tunes: John Naughton's Jig (Old Man Dillon) The Nightingale (comp. Sean Ryan) Blue Angel (aka The King's Fancy) 🎵 John Naughton's Jig : I learned this tune during a masterclass with Mary MacNamara. It is a version in G minor of the well-known jig "Old Man Dillon). 🎵 The Nightingale : this jig is a composition of fiddle player Sean Ryan which I worked on with Claire Keville during a masterclass. She learned this version from fiddle player Liam Lewis. 🎵 Blue Angel : I learned this jig at a masterclass with Hugh Healy. It is the opening tune on his new album "Ceolaire" and he learned it from the band Buttons and Bows. This jig is also known as "The King's Fancy".
