This stunning stretch offers breathtaking sea views, seamless travel, and a glimpse into Mumbai’s latest infrastructure marvel. Watch as we pass through Mumbai’s first undersea tunnel, cruise along the widened coastal lanes, and witness how this road is transforming city travel. Whether you’re a Mumbaikar or a visitor, this drive is a must-watch! 📍 Route: Marine Drive → Haji Ali → Worli Seaface → Bandra ⏳ Travel Time: Reduced from 45+ mins to under 20 mins 🎥 Shot in: 4K UHD for an immersive experience The Mumbai Coastal Road is a transformative infrastructure project designed to improve connectivity along the city's western coastline. Spanning 29.2 km, it links Marine Drive in South Mumbai to Kandivali in the northern suburbs, significantly reducing travel time from nearly two hours to just 40 minutes. A key highlight of this project is India’s first undersea tunnel, a 2.07 km twin tunnel passing beneath the Arabian Sea between Marine Drive and Priyadarshini Park. The eight-lane expressway is expected to handle over 130,000 vehicles daily, easing congestion on major arterial roads. Additionally, the project includes a 7.5 km sea-facing promenade from Priyadarshini Park to Haji Ali, featuring jogging and cycling tracks along with green recreational spaces. Designed with modern infrastructure, including eco-friendly noise barriers and advanced tunnel ventilation, the road promises a seamless and scenic commuting experience. As of February 2025, 94% of the work is completed, with the final Prabhadevi connector expected to open soon, granting full public access by March 2025. Once operational, the Mumbai Coastal Road will revolutionize urban transport, providing a faster, smoother, and more picturesque alternative to the congested Western Express Highway.
