You have people around who you who will utilize your skill, who will call you on actual advice, who will have you doing things for them that don't even have nothing to do with you, but will not acknowledge your greatness As a person of color, something I noticed with mentor appearance and mentoring students. One thing that we do well is criticize. I'm not saying other races don't do it. I'm not concerned about other races. I'm just focused on us right now. Focus here. So, one thing that I noticed is that we're very critical of each other, especially the children, but then I said, not ask myself. Where do the children learn it from They learning from adults? Whether it be Mama Daddy, a grandma, an auntie or Uncle that's looking out for them, or that they stay with her who they visit. It doesn't matter if you have someone who's hyper critical all the time, then the children are going to be critical as well, and the parents most likely learn their behavior from their parents, and so on. Sometimes the solution starts with a simple conversation. That’s why The Parent Table™ exists. #BehindTheBehavior #ParentingSupport #YouthDevelopment #MentorshipMatters #SupportOurTeachers #FamilyHealing #BlackFamilies #CommunityHealing #TheParentTable #LaKendraNorman
