MATCHBOX custom: Recreating

It's my final YouTuber build of 2024 and it has taken me most of the year to complete this one! That's because I've taken a Matchbox Ford Mondeo Ghia of the first generation and attempted to convert it into a mark 2 facelifted ST200 model of Mike Fernie from ‪@Drivetribe‬. Mike's car was first seen on the channel in 2019 and has since been returned to more of a factory appearance. He's a big fan of the Mondeo ST200 with it being the only car that Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May all agree on liking! The Matchbox model I used as a basis for this build was in a poor state. A previous owner had painted over the former BTCC livery from 1993 and then covered the windows in marker pen. I then had to remould the bumpers and add a boot lid spoiler using epoxy putty to turn this mark 1 into a facelifted mark 2. There was so much work involved that it ended up taking 9 months to complete!
