Filming Date: Saturday 26th July 2025 Filming Location: Lurgan station This video features regular passenger services calling at and passing through Lurgan station in County Armagh, recorded over the course of about 2 hours. This was recorded because I wanted to do some trainspotting on the Portadown / Dublin line and I figured Lurgan was a nice station to do it at. The trains were all extremely busy that day as it was the day of the Belfast Pride parade and so my journey back from Lurgan to Belfast was on a very overcrowded train full of people going to the event. Lurgan station itself wasn't too busy but apparently some of the other ones such as Portadown were very busy. Lurgan station is due to be completely rebuilt in the near future, as Translink plans to modernise the station building and extend the size of the park & ride. This means that the current 1970s building probably doesn't have many years left, however it is certainly showing its age and so it will be good to have a more modern station in Lurgan. Railways service from Portadown to Belfast Grand Central. Then 4013 is seen arriving at and departing platform 1 with the 13:04 departure of the 12:37 Translink N.I. Railways service from Belfast Grand Central to Portadown. A southbound Enterprise train is then seen blasting through platform 1, driven by 9002 with locomotive 228 'River Owenboy' at the rear, working the 13:00 Enterprise service from Belfast Grand Central to Connolly. Then 4013 is back again, arriving at and departing platform 2 with the 13:27 departure of the 13:20 Translink N.I. Railways service from Portadown to Belfast Grand Central. 4011 is then seen arriving at and departing platform 1 with the 13:34 departure of the 13:07 Translink N.I. Railways service from Belfast Grand Central to Portadown. Then 22038 passes platform 2 with a northbound Enterprise service, which is the 11:50 Irish Rail service from Connolly to Belfast Grand Central. 4011 then comes back from Portadown and calls at platform 2 with the 13:57 departure of the 13:50 Translink N.I. Railways service from Portadown to Belfast Grand Central. Then 3004 comes back from Belfast and calls at platform 1 with the 14:04 departure of the 13:37 Translink N.I. Railways service from Belfast Grand Central to Portadown. Finally, a southbound Enterprise train is seen passing platform 1, driven by 9004 with locomotive 233 'River Clare' at the rear, working the 14:00 Enterprise service from Belfast Grand Central to Connolly.
