Go there. It's on this channel.) It was a merry time, got to see many old friends and loved ones. (2 of which I now do a podcast with check it out down below!) Honored to be a groomsmen. This was 2022. I had dodged covid. And I had doged Hades (and the NON STOP EVER LOVING PRAISE OF IT) for 2-4 years (hades 2018, covid 2020) Alas. I was struck with the illness after the wedding. As I lie very sick and dying in bed, I saw Hades on Xbox gamepass. I succumbed. I caved. I gave in, and decided "what the hell" (pun intended) Best resigned decision I ever made. I was hooked. From the art style, to the gameplay and combat, the the story telling, and that riveting soundtrack, I. Found. Life. Within Hades. It deserved all the hype and more and i'm an advocate. Darren Korbs soundtrack is spectacular (this will NOT be the last Hades cover you hear from me, and now we have Hades II on the way wtf!) It's funny, that as this cover uploads TODAY (1/20/2023). About a year after the wedding and me getting covid. I have officially beaten the "story" (no spoilers for those who haven't made it to the finish line but push on you've got this!) but it's so worth it seriously check it out. I stopped playing for a while. about 9 months. Then Hades II got announced and I immediately fell back down the rabbit hole. Here we are with our first Hades cover. Our first official YEAR II Cover! I learned a good bit on this cover, I've only recorded acoustic ONCE a year ago for Kingdom Hearts, BRIEFLY and on this cover I learned how to use envelopes and pan a single track back and forth instead of using 2-3 tracks (hence the constant acoustic from the start!) And for the solo I wanted to go a little out of my box and just try for a dissonant, uncomfortable sound that still somehow fit the vibes of Tartarus.
