Ephesians 1:11-14 Deep Dive Calvinism has been summarized by the acronym of T.U.L.I.P.: T- Total Depravity; human will is corrupt and enslaved to sin, unable to choose God on their own or see Christ for who He truly is. U – Unconditional Election; God has chosen specific individuals for salvation based solely on His purpose, not human will or merit. L – Limited Atonement; Christ’s death was intended to save only the elect and not those chosen for damnation. I – Irresistible Grace; Once God regenerates the human soul, it will not reject Christ and His grace. Regeneration comes before faith. P – Perseverance of the Saints; Those whom God has saved will remain in the state of grace until the end. I embrace most of these points except for Irresistible Grace. I believe that God initiates salvation by giving a person “ears to hear and eyes to see” (Matt 13:13-17), however, I believe that a person can still reject the “awakening” of God and fall under condemnation of Matthew 12:31-32 and Hebrews 6:4-6.
