He had 3 wives, including Sassouma Berete and Sogolon Konte Sogolon Konte-Mother of Sundiata and second wife of Maghan Kon Fatta . She came from the area called Do Sassouma Bereté-First wife of King Maghan Kon Fatta and mother Dankaran Touman. Dankaran Touman-First son of King Maghan Kon Fatta and Sassouma Bereté. He became King at 12-13 years of age after death of his father. Nana Triban-Daughter of King Maghan Kon Fatta and Sassouma Bereté and half-sister to Sundiata. She and Sundiata were close since childhood. She is taken as a wife by King of Soso by force. She escapes. Soumaba Cisse-King of Wagadou Empire, Ghana and ally of Sundiata Mousa Tounkara-King of Mema, cousin to King Soumaba Cisse and ally of Sundiata Soumaoro Kante-King of Sosso. He takes over Mali Empire by force and was said to be a sorcerer and cruel King Sosso Balla-son of Soumaoro Kante, King of Sosso Fakoli-The nephew of Soumaoro the King of Soso. His Wife was forcibly taken by his uncle and he joins forces with Sunjata to defeat the King of Soso Manding Bory-son of Sogolon and brother of Sundiata Fran Kamara/Tabon Wana-A childhood friend of Sundiata and later the king of Tabon Balla Fasséké-Sundiata Keita's griot. He is forced to become griot of Dankaran Touman as well as Soumaoro Kante-King of Sosso.
