Jaguar E-Type - DO NOT use 'DUSTLESS' Wet Blasting!!!

WHATEVER YOU DO - DON'T DO THIS!!! Dustless Blasting was designed for stripping the bottom paint off of fiberglass boats. It CAN be used for automotive panels like fenders, etc. HOWEVER - for anything with enclosed cavities - like an E-Type - it is a MAJOR DISASTER!!! It will pack your E-Type body shell FULL of coagulated, dried sand that hardens like concrete and is almost impossible to get out! After this video was taken, we found more and more of this hardened sand inside the forward and rear bulkheads, and that one RH outer sill that was still on WAS FULL of hardened sand. In the end, we disseceted the car down as far as wen needed to for the restoration work - removing the rh outer and inner sill, more of the floor, boot floor, etc. That gave access to many of the cavities. THEN, I donned a bathing suit and used a 4,000 PSI industrila pressure washer to get that hardened sand out and even that was tough. Then we blew it out with air and sat it in the direct sun for 2 days, and THEN we dry blasted it in house. I THINK that got it all...DO NOT DO THIS to your E-Type... What a disaster...
