Welcome to my guide to winning the World Touring Car 800 Race around Circuit de Sainte-Croix - A on Gran Turismo 7. THIS RACE WAS RECORDED ON UPDATE 1.48 UPDATE 1.66 - No car setup or strategy changes required. UPDATE 1.55 - Car setup changes required. ECU Output Adjustment - 89 Ballast - 54 Power Restrictor - 90 NOTE: Make sure you go to GT Auto and buy a custom rear wing, this allows us to get the rear downforce to 1050, without the custom rear wing you can only get 1000 maximum. No strategy changes are required. Update 1.49 Tyre wear has changed from X6 to X4 THIS RACE WAS COMPLETED ON HARD DIFFICULTY Car Used for this race: Lexus RC F GT500 ’16 Items I bought for this car from the Tuning Shop: Power Restrictor Racing Hard Tyres Items I bought for this car from GT Auto: Wing - Type A. (This gives us the option to increase rear downforce) Adjustments I made in the Tuning Menu: Downforce: Front - 700, Rear - 1075 ECU Output Adjustment - 96% Power Restrictor - 97% I have my Brake Balance set to -2. This is personal preference and not required. STRATEGY: Start the race on Racing Hard Tyres, change the fuel to level 6 and keep it there the entire race. You will not need to make any pit stops this race. With this strategy you should have around 1 lap of extra fuel, if you want to try running level 5 for fuel instead of 6 you can but when I was testing it the margin for fuel at the end was very close, using level 6 makes sure you make it to the end without any issues. The Lexus RC F GT500 ’16 is pretty easy to drive, the car feels stable through the corners and doesn’t lose traction easily. Just be careful applying the throttle out of low speed corners, short shift to 2nd/ 3rd gear to keep the car stable. I didn’t have too many issues with this race, just keep your car on the track and you should win pretty convincingly. I have my Traction Control set to 0 but that’s personal preference, to stop the car from oversteering the lower gears you might want to put on some Traction Control or just get used to the car. If you have any questions or are struggling with the strategy please comment below and I will do my best to help you.
