We would like to thank and celebrate Sergeant Martin Perez for his 28 years of dedicated service in Law Enforcement to the Oxnard community and congratulate him on his retirement. Sergeant Perez has been an invaluable asset to our department and our community throughout his career, serving as a Patrol Officer, Narcotics Officer, Homicide Detective, Explorer Advisor, Reserve Training Coordinator, UAV Pilot, First Aid Instructor, and a Beat Coordinator. He was awarded the Medal of Merit and the Chiefs Award of Excellence. As a member of our Neighborhood Policing Team (and beyond), Sergeant Perez consistently worked to create positive police contacts and experiences within our community. He was instrumental in launching our (now annual) Autism Acceptance campaigns, and designing the first OXPD Autism Awareness police patch. Thank you Sergeant Perez for your service and lasting impact on our community. Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement.
