NOTE!: Songs/footage is listed in the credits! I started reading this amazing HiJack/Frostcup fanfic (it was my first for this couple) and I absolutely fell in love with it. I have never cried over a fanfic in my life, but this one absolutely broke me. I was very inspired by this story to make this video. When editing this, I had to change a few things for editing purposes. The name of the fic is I'll See It When I Believe It and it is by the wonder and magnificent author, Old Beginning New Ending. ( * SPOILERS!!!* ) A year or so after Jack Frost began his new life as a Guardian he stops by the town of Burgess and visit the Bennett kids and his other first believers. While playing with the children Jack meets the Bennett's babysitter Hiccup, but sadly he can't see him. That night Jack, Jamie, and Sophie are hanging out and Hiccup comes in to usher the children to bed. When he (Hiccup) asks Jamie who he was talking to he tells him Jack Frost, and begins to tell their babysitter about the Guardian. Hiccup becomes very interested in the tale and tells Jamie that it reminded him of the Norse legend of Jokul Frosti, which really catches Jack's attention. Miles away this doesn't go unnoticed by Cupid (Lucille). She sees a spark of something between them. For a long time now Cupid has lost her own faith in love and seeing the "glow" between them, she becomes very discouraged and figures it will end up being doomed and nothing but hurt will come of it. After the Bennett children go to bed and Hiccup walks through the house, Jack following him around and talking to him even though he figures Hiccup can't hear him. But to his surprise, Hiccup turns to him and tells him he knows he is there. When He reaches out to touch him, Jack finally comes into view but only as a shadow. (Though at the moment Jack is more excited about that fact Hiccup can see him at all) He visits Hiccup the next night and tells him that maybe if he gets to know him better, he will be able to see him. So the two pretty much become inseparable. Spending as much time together as possible (and at one point Hiccup catches a glimpse of Jack's eyes). Soon the other Guardians catch wind of this and as they try to figure out a way to stop it before things get to serious, Cupid shows up to talk with them. They begin pleading with her to stop meddling. They didn't want to see Jack or the boy hurt. Cupid pretty much laughs in their faces and tells them, "You think I don't know this? Oh, boo hoo..!" and then tells them that she wasn't going to stop it, but wasn't going to push it either. The Guardians decide to be straight forward with Jack and send Toothiana to speak with him. She tells him that he is a Guardian and he has obligations to the children of the world and pretty much to stop stalling in Burgess and move on. Jack admits that he has become to attached to Hiccup and is a little surprised when Toothiana tells him she knew, but being a Guardian meant that they must make sacrifices. Knowing she is right, Jack agrees to leave. He meets up with Hiccup and tells him that he must leave. Hiccup, though having grown attached to him as well, tells him he understands and Jack leaves. Weeks after Jack's departure, Cupid sees the toll it has taken on the both of them. It causes her great pain seeing them like this because she dared to have hope with them only to see it crash and burn. She pays Hiccup a visit and tells him, no matter how much he tries to deny it that she knows that he is in love with Jack. He tells her that it didn't matter and he still couldn't see him, only saw his eyes for a moment. Surprised at hearing this, she tells him that because he lacked the faith of him being there and still associated him with Jokul Frosti, was why he couldn't fully see him. She goes to see North and the other Guardians and tells them that they fucked up and now Hiccup was suffering because of it. Jack walks in and hears this, learning that Hiccup does indeed love him and that his fellow Guardians planned the "getting them apart" thing. When he asked them why they did it Toothiana tells him that "they only wanted to protect them". Cupid is pissed at Jack as well, because he just up and left the boy just because he was scared. But after realizing that he still had a chance with Hiccup, he hurries back to Burgess.
