For this mission, it is crucial to start with just enough fire power and infantries. Slowly upgrade the airborns in the wave where they are about to die to grant them instant health replenishment. That way, they can hold the defense line longer. Also, there's a need to build a square formation of Shotguns in the middle as quick as possible to establish a stable defense. As we all know, Flak is the weakest hero. However, if you know how to use his skills right, then he can deliver just enough effort to get you through. If we try to analyse Flak's set of skills, he is built as a hit and run hero. However, he is not the best at this strategy because it is the Game Devs' way of encouraging you to purchase other heroes. His first 4 skills are there to support his final skill, bounty hunter (double energy per kill). The trick here is to maximize Flak's bounty hunter. This skill separates Flak from the other heroes. He might be weak but he can compensate it by helping you build towers faster. He also has decent speed. In this manner, he would sometimes even outperform other stronger heroes in a solo mission.
