Deep into the valley of Valais lies the renowned ski resort of Zermatt. The small town and great slopes provide a skiers paradise whether wanting to ski on or off the slopes. Having an apartment up there I am fortunate enough to travel back and forth to ski but it has always been a dream of mine to get to ski some proper powder, produce some big sprays and get hammered with face shots. And boy oh boy did this weekend come through and provide us with just that. It was my brother (13) and I (18) who decided to head up to Zermatt Thursday afternoon, and skip Friday of school. We were both excited for what was to come but nothing could have prepared us for what happened. Zermatt has already been bombarded with snow this year and the base layer just on the slopes is at least 1.5 meters and up to 3 meters around the system. Now conditions could not have been better, it had snowed overnight from friday to saturday and we woke up to a sunny morning, ready to shred the gnarly lines that the beautiful Swiss ski system had to offer. With no wind and sun on the horizon we headed out and up, to what was an unforgettable day, the rest is history and the video speaks for itself. Leave a like and comment what you think!!
