If you are having a rough idle or the idle jumps around this is how to fix it. Some of the trouble codes or diagnostic codes you may get on the 5.3 are p0121 p2119 and p2139. This is a very common problem with the chevy tahoe chevy suburban, gmc yukon and escalade. Sometimes if it gets bad enough the vehicle will not run at all or the engine will stall while driving. The good news is in this video I show you how to replace your throttle body for the codes p0121 p2119 and p2139. These are the codes for a bad throttle position sensor. Sometimes you can take it off and clean it and this will go away. I decided to replace the throttle body on my 5.3L V8 with a new GM Throttle body with Throttle Position sensor. After replacement you will need to relearn the idle which I did with hp tuners. If your service engine light is on for these diagnostic codes you may need a new throttle body.
