River Feshie drone flight

The River Feshie is located in the western part of the Cairngorms in Scotland. It is a braided river system of significant scientific importance, both in terms of understanding sediment and bedload transport (e.g. R Ferguson and R Hodge, Durham University), and in using environmental tracers to illucidate hydrological processes at a range of scales (work led by C. Soulsby, University of Aberdeen). The abundance of sediment in Glen Feshie is a result of erosion during deglaciation and also in more recent times, with the stream power of the River Feshie itself responsible for the formation and reworking of a braided channel. The short flight here was undertaken at low altitude with a Phantom 3 Pro.
