#seaside #coast ,#englishpub Join me today for an optimist seaside town visit in a little quaint seaside town on the southern coast of Kent in March in the UK. I make the most of a springtime seaside day away in the UK, despite the unpredictable weather, and it's still cold in March! You'll see a little footage of the quaint old New Romney high street with its Victorian and Edwardian shops and cafes, the nostalgic buildings around and the rustic style pubs. Do you enjoy seeing small historic English towns with the quaint little windows and doors? But, it sure isn't Spring break in Florida! New Romney is a market town in Kent, England, on the edge of Romney Marsh, flat agricultural land. The town is one of the original Cinque Ports, was once a sea port, with the harbour adjacent to the church, but is now more than a mile from the sea. During my pub lunch at Cinque Ports Arms, I chat about a couple of things I've noticed as a widow now. I've noticed something which is I have been reluctant since I've been a widow to go and eat on my own outside somewhere...... I love just eating at home but just sometimes it's nice to go out and I've noticed today anyway that in sitting on my own here gives you time to reflect so I don't know whether anyone would agree with that whether you're younger older if you are out eating on your own in a restaurant or wherever you're not kind of sidetracked with a conversation with your partner which is obviously super lovely if you love that person and you're together, there's nothing like that companionship and that wonderful chat that you can have. But there are some advantages being on your own. Britain isn't trying to be the beach center of the world I'll give them that but can be very disappointing and I've been spoiled anyway with the Florida beaches though I have to say have been spoiled and I'm looking forward to sitting on the Florida beach one day soon.
