Dissected brought forth their debut putrid assemply of body parts in the form of a self-titled EP, released in March 2021. Dissected's sound has a huge range of influences - Autopsy, Incantation, Bolt Thrower, I think I heard some Infester, Cerebral Rot maybe?, a bit of diSEMBOWELMENT?, you guys heard 200 Stab Wounds from last year?, a tinge of beefy BDM influence? You fucking name it and you will find it here. Also, now that we are talking about beef, did you notice how meaty their tone is? It sounds huge, crushing and bone melting. The vocals are also excellent, the low growls are sick and the higher raspy screeches are just perfect, when they throw them both together it sounds like hell. There is also a lot of variety in the EP. Yes, skanks and d-beats are what they use the most, but when they bring out the big guns they sound even better. Short, rapid firing solos, unexpected blast beats, unforgiving mid-paced riffs, gross samples? They got 'em all. I really hope Dissected get the attention they deserve. I named a lot of bands but it still wasn't enough to describe them. Really meaty, gore ridden and top tier EP. Can't wait for more. See that skull on the top left?
