In this series, I explore the full story of the Proto-Indo-European migrations — from the Yamnaya steppe nomads through, the ancient and medieval periods, all the way to the present day. My goal is to create a simple, digestible overview that explains: 1. How these migrations occurred; 2. Where the various archaeological, linguistic and tribal names come from; and 3.
