Jason was born to a Jewish mother and Lutheran father, but practiced mainly Judaism growing up. He devoutly studied the Torah and attended Hebrew school, but knew of Jesus Christ from celebrating Christian holidays at home. Jason’s friendship with Latter-day Saints led him to receive a copy of the Book of Mormon.
