Plane spotting is a fun way to photograph and learn about airplanes. If you happen to live in or near a major city then you have access to hundreds of different aircraft and paint schemes a.k.a. livery. Recommended Gear: A DSLR or Mirrorless camera with at least a 200mm zoom A tripod - not immediately necessary unless you are shooting at night A backpack to keep all of your gear in A water bottle - it gets hot out there and you don’t want to dehydrate A hat or cap - again it gets hot Forms of ID - you may be asked to present ID depending where you are taking pictures from. Recommended Websites/Apps: http://flightradar24.com http://spotterguide.net https://www.spotterguide.net/useful-t... http://LiveATC.net Other flight trackers (may work better in Europe or smaller airports) http://planefinder.net https://flightaware.com/ To find a planspotting group you can search Facebook or you can use JetPhotos: https://www.jetphotos.com/group Recommended settings to get started: Aperture: 7.1 or higher Shutter 1/200 or faster ISO 100 or best available Thanks for watching and please subscribe!
