Drum road, Sligo. Both ways... 28/01/2025

The road shown in the video is a small local road in my area in Sligo, Ireland. It had been resurfaced several years ago using the correct method of planeing then layered up with hot roll tarmacadam.. It was a perfect job, with lovely lines on it and all.. Then some numpty in an office decided that it was too good and needed a layer of lumpy gravel layered over it.. It must have been a cheap quick job because now it's nearly all washed away leaving the road surface unfit for pupose yet it's still open to the public, drivers, cyclists and walkers alike.. As can be clearly seen from the cheap dash cam footage the road is extremely rough and is causing untold damage to vehicles passing along it. Please forgive the quality of the footage. I've uploaded it here so that I can share the video easier and to show the outrageous condition the road has been left in for a long number of months... And to highlight the difference between a properly finished road surface and the poor excuse of a surface allowed to be used. Thank you if you've even clicked on it by mistake. Regards Magpie.
